IMPORTANT NOTICE - There are several major issues with VideoPaper Builder. View our Known Issues page for descriptions of the issues and work-arounds.

Creating a Reference Page

Use the References Tab to create a list of references or endnotes for your text. This list will appear as a References Page in your final VideoPaper. References may be added within the text as well; they appear as numbered notes within the text.

Access the References Tab by clicking on the References or Arrow Tab:

Click on the Reference icon in the References Tab to create a Reference entry. When a new reference entry is created, a dialog box opens in which the entry can be named and content can be typed or pasted into the Link area or the Text area. If an external website reference is listed in the LINK area in the Dialog box, the entire text of the reference will be linked to that address.

Double-click on the Reference text label at any time to edit or rename your References; drag and drop entries to reorder within the list, or click on the Trash icon to delete individual entries.

Adding References within the Text to reference an entry on the Reference Page
References are inserted into Text Pages within the Text Editor by  placing the cursor at the desired place in the text and clicking on the Insert Reference icon in the Text Editor Toolbar. References may be added at any time within Text Pages; references may be deleted or edited (changing the Reference entry linked to) at any time. There is no limit to the number of references that may be included in the VideoPaper Project.

To add a Reference, position the cursor at the desired place in the selected text page. Click on the Insert Reference icon , located in the Text Editor Toolbar. A Reference icon will appear in the text.

To link the Reference to a Reference entry, RIGHT-CLICK with your mouse (or THE CTRL-CLICK key combination) on the inserted Reference icon. A Context Menu will appear with options to Edit or Delete the button. Click on Edit to link to an associated Reference entry, using a drop-down menu containing a list of all the current entries in the References Tab. Select the appropriate reference entry from the list and click OK. The inserted Reference is now linked to that entry; upon Publishing the VideoPaper, the reference will appear as a (superscript) number, corresponding to the content of the linked reference in the Reference Page.
